About the academy

Fieldhouse Athletic Academy

A quick read on who we are, what we stand for, and how the academy is run.

Fieldhouse Athletic Academy is a multi-sport performance academy founded in 2011, training young athletes across football, cricket, swimming, track & field, basketball, and tennis. The academy was built on a single idea: that strength, conditioning, and technique work should be tracked and measured, not left to guesswork — every athlete's progress is logged session by session, from their first trial to their final year on the competitive pathway.

The academy is led by Coach R. Malhotra, Head of Football and Director of Coaching, who has overseen the program since 2015. Each sport at Fieldhouse has its own head coach — a role held by a former competitive or national-level athlete in that discipline — supported by assistant coaches, a resident physiotherapist, and a dietitian who designs the campus nutrition plan around training load.

Over its 13 years of operation, Fieldhouse has trained more than 1,840 athletes, produced 47 alumni now competing at state level, and seen 6 athletes go on to national team selection. The academy's four-stage pathway — Foundation, Development, Performance, and Competition — is designed to take an athlete from their very first session all the way through to selector exposure at age 18.

Built the way a training ground should be

Every facility on campus exists for one reason: to remove the excuses between an athlete and their best session.

Two full-size turf pitches

FIFA-quality artificial turf, floodlit for evening sessions year-round.

8-lane Olympic pool

Electronic touchpad timing for accurate, race-grade split tracking.

Strength & conditioning gym

Age-appropriate equipment supervised by certified S&C coaches at all times.

What parents and athletes tell us

Real feedback from the people who show up to training six days a week.

"

My son went from benchwarmer to starting striker in one season. The video review sessions made the biggest difference — he could finally see what the coach meant.

Priya N.Parent, Football Foundation
"

I shaved four seconds off my 200m freestyle in one term. The touchpad timing means I actually know if a session worked, not just how tired I feel.

Arjun K.Athlete, Swimming Performance
"

What sold us was how organised the whole thing is — schedules, load tracking, physio check-ins. It doesn't feel like a weekend hobby anymore, it feels like a real program.

Questions we hear most

Common questions parents and athletes ask about how the academy runs.

What happens at the free trial session?+
A coach runs your child through a short skills and fitness assessment in their chosen sport, then walks you through which stage of the pathway fits them best. It takes about 60–75 minutes, and there's no obligation to sign up afterward.
Do you provide kit and equipment?+
Foundation-stage athletes are fitted with basic kit (jersey, boots or appropriate footwear) at no extra cost. From the Development stage onward, sport-specific equipment is discussed individually, since needs vary a lot by sport.
Can my child train in more than one sport?+
Yes, especially at the Foundation stage, where cross-training is encouraged. From Performance stage onward, we recommend focusing on one primary sport so the periodised training plan stays effective.
Are the coaches background-checked and first-aid certified?+
Every coach on staff is background-verified, holds a national federation license in their sport, and is certified in pediatric first aid. A physio is on campus during all peak training hours.
What is your cancellation policy?+
Memberships run month to month with no long-term lock-in. A written notice one billing cycle in advance is all that's needed to pause or cancel.
